Panama Makeup Pro 2015 Experience

Hi everyone! As I mentioned before, today I want to share with you what was the best birthday present that I received this year.  My husband and my daughter gave me the ticket so I could attend the second version of the "Panama Makeup Pro" class and fair. Last year, 2014, it was the very next day from my birthday but I was not able to attend and this year it took place on September 5th, at the Riu Plaza Panamá hotel.

What is Panama Makeup Pro? Is sort of a master class with several renowned makeup artists, each taking care of a group of about 15-20 people, answering questions, and providing makeup techniques so you can learn how to get an almost professional look. Not only that but there is a mini-fair with several companies selling their products and giving you offers.  The best thing, at the end there was a raffle for a large amount of prizes!

I really enjoyed my afternoon at the event. I was with the Kryolan group and learned that this brand, that is very overlooked is actually really good. I think that, since they started out as a stage makeup brand we tend to forget that most of this makeup, applied correctly, can be for everyday use. Not only that, but they also have makeup classes and a new location, with a bigger store and easier access than they did before. I want to try their foundation, I was amazed on how much coverage with a teeny tiny drop they, the makeup artists, were able to provide the model with. I am looking to buy 2 higher end foundations later on but I need to use up at least 2 or 3 of the ones I currently have.

All of the attendees were able to get a swag baggie, with products from Biotherm, Smashbox, Essence, Revlon, Almay, and several magazines as well as coupons for discounts from some of the sponsors.

I will share some of the pics I was able to get from that day:

And now, some of the things from the swag baggie and my raffle prize from Kryolan:

Also, before I forget, I received a $15.00 giftcard from Sol Sexy Salon, in Costa del Este. I went there to have my brows done and take advantage of it. The salon is really pretty, neat, everything so crisp clean and the attention, fully pleased.

So that will be all for now, thank you so much for stopping by and see you on my next post!

A Little Fashion Post

So I'm not fashion-y at all. I like what I like and sometimes that does not work/adjust to my body type which is like "hourglass-y but chubby" and I have to look for pieces that not only match or coordinate with one another but also that fit me well and does not make me look like a fool, like a 40 year trying to look half her age.  So, that being said, for a casual Friday, I chose a pair of kind of lose fit jeans from Estampa (got them for $12), an olive green tank top, olive green jacket from Berksha (bought it like 3 years ago) so they "match" and create a military-ish vibe, a regular black belt, and a pair of gold-nude loafers, so comfortable that I just can't put them down. Now some more detail pics so you can take a closer look and enjoy.  See ya next time!

Review: Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation

Empties! February 2015

Hi everyone and welcome back! Today I will share my empties with you. As you can see, I have a lot so let's get started: Since my last empties post was quite some time ago, you will noticed that we have used up a lot of the foamy hand soap from Bath & Body Works. I keep repurchasing them because we like the different scents, because of the offers, and because they don't dry out the hands. My daughter's favorite is Twilight Woods and mine, Sweet Pea. Staying in the toiletries, I used up two more Bath & Body works products: a "Carried Away" body lotion that to be honest I felt was a little too liquidy not like other lotions that I have that are a little bit thicker and also I used up a 3oz. Sweet Pea body wash. I liked it because it lathers very nicely and leaves a nice smell and softness to the skin.  I used up a Victoria's Secret body mist from a set my husband bought me a couple years ago and I still have like 1 or 2 left at h...
