Review: Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation


Hola a todos y bienvenidos.  Para el día de hoy les tengo una reseña o review de una base de maquillaje de la marca Revlon.  Se trata de la base Revlon Colorstay Whipped, la cual es una base en crema, bastante gruesa, que no se corre.  En Panamá se empezó a vender más o menos desde octubre-noviembre del 2013 y tenemos aproximadamente unas 5 tonalidades, a diferencia de otros mercados que tiene hasta 16 tonos y tiene un precio de más o menos $16.95 más impuestos.




Según la página de Revlon, Colorstay Whipped es un maquillaje de larga duración que ofrece un máximo rendimiento, tiene textura suave y su cobertura ayuda a unificar el tono del rostro y también ofrece una sensación ligera durante todo el día que no se corre ni se desvanece.

Yo compré la mía en el mes de noviembre y la uso casi todos los días.  Puedo certificar que es una base de cobertura completa, da una apariencia mate y a pesar de que el clima en Panamá es caliente y húmedo, la duración del maquillaje es impresionante. Pareciera que, a medida que pasa el día y la base se ajusta a la piel, da la impresión que se ve mejor que cuando recién se aplicó.  Una gran ventaja que he notado es que casi no tengo que retocarme el maquillaje durante el día, lo que es un plus para mí.  Para piel grasa o combinación (o sea zona T grasa y el resto de la cara seca o sin exceso de grasa) es ideal ya que no hay casi brillo durante el día.

De los pocos contras que puedo mencionar es que se pega a los lugares donde haya piel seca, lo cual no se ve bien y no se recomienda para piel seca a menos que se hay humectado muy bien antes de la aplicación.  También el envase es voluminoso, pesado y de vidrio, lo cual no la hace "amigable" de llevarla en algún viaje (habría que transferirla a otro envase un poco más pequeño).  Trae menos de 1 onza de producto, la cual es la medida standard para las bases de maquillaje ya sea de venta en tiendas de departamento y/o farmacias y finalmente no hay muchas opciones de tonalidades.

A pesar de que me agradó la base, no volvería a comprarla.  La razón? Son varias.  Primero, tengo un par de bases más que quiero probar para poderlas reseñar.  Segundo, a pesar de que el acabo en la cara es impecable, a veces la siento muy pesada y gruesa y hay días que prefiero algo más ligero y porque, de vez en cuando tengo parches de piel seca en los cuales se "pega" and it's not pretty.

Nuevamente, todas las pieles son diferentes. Lo que funciona para unos no funciona para otros y si tuviste un resultado diferente al mío, me encantaría saberlo. Y si hay una manera de hacerla "funcionar" mejor, bienvenidas sean las sugerencias.

Christmas Beauty Haul
